8. Award-Winning Package Design: Swirlz Organic Frozen Yogurt

A comprehensive package design project for Swirlz Organic Frozen Yogurt, focused on creating a cohesive and structural packaging system to elevate their physical brand presence. This case study demonstrates my ability to design multi-piece product lines including four distinct self-serve cups, a 5.8oz individual cup, a large 48oz bucket, and a custom 4-pack carrier with a structural swirl handle that combine playful brand identity with functional, real-world packaging engineering.

The Swirlz brand identity is built around the playful, organic shape of self-serve frozen yogurt. The custom logotype features an 'S' that flows into a distinct swirl at its base, mimicking the iconic shape of dispensed yogurt. To maintain visual harmony and reinforce the theme, the dot of the 'i' is replaced by a matching floating swirl element, creating a cohesive and memorable connection to the name.

Designed as a complete, playful packaging line, this concept features a custom 4-pack carrier engineered with a unique die-cut swirl handle that mirrors the organic movement of frozen yogurt. This innovative packaging system was honored with formal industry and academic recognition, having been selected for the Voice of Design Annual Exhibition of Student Work and officially featured in Plugged-In Magazine.
